Everything is Finer at The Family Diner!

We have spent 48 years each working in family-style restaurants, including the last 30-plus years together. We have raised three kids, all of which have worked with us in Spirit Lake. In 1990, we took over the grille café downtown in Spirit Lake. We sold it after 12 years and worked for three seasons at Cutty’s of Okoboji. Then, we started The Family Diner. We have specialized in breakfast and lunch making and baking many of our menu items such as:

Pies, cinnamon rolls, bread, buns, soup, real mashed potatoes, homemade brown gravy, fresh hamburgers, noon specials, hand-breaded pork tenderloins, fresh hash browns, homemade lean pork sausage, biscuits, homemade sausage gravy, omelets made with fresh shell eggs (not frozen from a box), blueberry and chocolate muffins, French toast made from thick slices of home-baked bread and many other items.
